Work
Every drawing is the model the piece was built from. No photo, no retouching — the measurements are real.
- 74 years in the workshop
- 3 generations at the same plane
- 1,184 staircases built, not one has come back
- 0.1 millimetres of tolerance on every dovetail
Process
- 01
Measuring up
We come round and measure it ourselves. Every wall is crooked, and that belongs in the drawing, not in the fitting.
- 02
Drawing
You get a drawing with every measurement before a single board is sawn. Changes happen here, not on site.
- 03
Workshop
Every part is made in our workshop and test-assembled once. If something doesn’t fit, we notice, not you.
- 04
Fitting
One day, usually. We take the dust with us.
Wood
We work almost only with wood that grows in Germany. The density is listed because it says more about a wood than any adjective.
